Charlton (Charlie) Carr is a Consultant Solicitor with our Criminal Law Department and has been with the Firm since 2024 . He has over 40 years’ experience working in Criminal Law from a prosecution and defence perspective, dealing with all manner of criminal offences from motoring/road traffic matters, theft/fraud, serious violence/sexual offences / kidnap/drugs cases and homicide.

Charlie also deals with Restraint Orders and Confiscation Proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA). He has a wealth of knowledge regarding police covert operations, firearms matters and drugs cases.

Charlie is a Solicitor-Higher Court Advocate meaning that he has rights of audience to conduct advocacy not only in the Magistrates’ Courts, but also in the Crown Courts and Court of Appeal. Charlie has developed particular expertise in serious crime and can assist our clients from police station attendance right through the Court system, providing continuity to benefit those he represents.

For less serious offences at the Magistrates Court, Charlie nonetheless appreciates the importance of each case to our clients – Charlie has secured many favourable results for clients including those involving excess alcohol (drink driving) and other road traffic offences.
